Hooray! Nabinyagan na din ang Buchokoy namin! Ito ay ginanap nuong Linggo, February 15, 2015, kasabay ng kasal ni Sen Chiz at Heart E. Umeksena talaga ang binyag ng anak ko :) Gusto ko lang ibahagi sa inyo ang ilan sa mga naging suppliers ko sa naging selebrasyon namin. I read a lot of mommy blogs about their experiences sa baptism ng anak nila. These blogs inspired me to make one for my Buchokoy's christening!
CHURCH: SAN ANTONIO DE PADUA PARISH
Sabi ng mama ko, since sakop kami ng Brgy San Jose, hindi na tinatanggap sa cathedral (Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Church) ang mga batang bibinyagan na hindi sakop ng kanilang barangay na sa pagkakaalam ko ay San Roque. Sa cathedral kasi bininyagan ang unang dalawa kong anak, e since nine years ago pa bininyagan si Babskee hindi ko alam na may bago na palang policy. Hindi ako gaanong pamilyar sa simbahan ng San Antonio de Padua (photo credit: Kumpareng Ton Resco), pero ang natatandaan ko, nung bata pa ako ay nakapunta na ako duon dahil um-attend kami sa kasal ng kaibigan ni mama. Yun ang una kong punta, hindi na ulit nasundan.
Pero ayus lang naman sa akin, hindi talaga big deal sa akin kung saang simbahan bibinyagan si Buchokoy. Si mama may kakilala sya na coordinator sa San Antonio de Padua, we need to pay P300 daw, dala ng xerox ng birth certificate at sa mismong araw na ng binyag magpapalista basta daw araw ng Linggo bago mag-alas nwebe y medya ng umaga. Hinanap ko yung phone number ng parish, nakita ko naman sa net. Tinawagan ko agad, sabi sa akin, we will pay P300 and it will cover the first pair of the godparents, then P25 per succeeding godparent. I have 5 pairs, so P500 lahat. Linggo talaga ang pinakaappropriate na araw para sa binyag ni Buchokoy kasi lahat ng godparents walang shift sa araw na yun, including me, saka isa pa lahat ng godparents ka-officemates ko! :)

BAPTISM CANDLE WITH DRIP CATCHER:
One of Buchokoy's ninangs, Ann Radores, told me that she saw a beautiful baptism candle in olx. Nag-search ako agad-agad. I prefer yung sa Rizal lang para di naman masyadong malayo. I saw Chanel's Party Needs and they're from Angono, Rizal. Super ganda nung candles, bet na bet ko agad. I texted them and sent a private message thru facebook. Nung inorder ko yung candles, holiday season kaya siguro ang tagal nila sumagot sa mga inquiries. Syempre may mga requirements din, like ang minimum order is 20 pcs, and if you want with drip catcher na, each is P32. I have 10 godparents so I paid P320, downpayment muna ng 50%, then upon pick up saka pay yung 50%, I decided to pay na everything para settled na din. Pinag-add pa nila ako ng P100 for the shipping cost daw. Sa January na daw nila mai-dedeliver kasi naubusan sila ng royal blue na ribbon. I was cool with it kasi sa Pebrero pa naman ang binyag. First week ng January, nag-send sila sa akin ng mensahe na tapos na yung kandila, ready na for delivery. Nagkasundo kaming magkita sa Antipolo Shopwise para makuha ko yung kandila (nagpasama ako sa asawa ko). The candles and drip catchers are very nice and presentable. Satisfied talaga ako. Naisip ko kung isa ako sa mga godparents, matutuwa talaga ako.
I also personalized the drip catcher by placing letter stickers at the back, may name ng bawat godparent para "e di wow!" :)

CHRISTENING ATTIRE:
Sobrang laki ng tulong sa akin ng OLX. Halos lahat ng products and services, dun mo lang i-search makakakita ka talaga. I was scouting everywhere for the perfect christening attire for Buchokoy and I found "Edenmace", they accept made to order at nagpapa-rent din sila, located at 2nd flr, Maylors bldg, in front of Iglesia ni Kristo, Antipolo City. The lady is so accommodating, sa ad nila nakita ko maganda yung parang may vest-vest, so yun ang pinagawa ko, she charged P550 for it. The finish product is stunning. Ang ganda nung telang ginamit, puting-puti. Parang pang-kasal. Nagustuhan ko talaga kasi, it is his baptism kaya gusto ko yung attire na presentable sya kay God. Ang naging problema lang, medyo napalaki yung sa bandang vest. Pero feeling ko naman hindi maiinitan si Buchokoy pag sinuot nya yun, but I was very, very wrong hahahah. May ibang kwento naman yun, I will share sa ibang page yung baptism rites. But overall, I was so satisfied with the attire.

INVITATIONS:
Sa invitation naman, naisip ko parang maganda kung iba ang design ng para sa godparents at iba ang design para sa mga bisita. Ang laking tulong ng Google, pramis! I went to VR2 Computer near (Antipolo cathedral) and Ate Len is very patient with me pagdating sa pag-design nung mga invitations. (She also designed Babskee's souvenir na ref magnet when she celebrated her 7th birthday).
Yung mas maliit yung para sa godparents (nagkamali kami ng pagtantya ng pag-print size). Same lang ang contents, nagkaiba lang ng disenyo. One of the ninongs, Ynoh Cortez, was complaining, mas gusto daw nya yung invitation na madaming pictures ni Buchokoy. So ang ending, I gave him two invitations with both designs. :)
VR2 provided white envelopes, pero di ako satisfied kasi halos lahat lukot, e for me napakaimportante na presentable sya pag binigay sa mga invited. So what I did, ginawa kong guide yung isang sobre, i have a lot of neon paper, so yun ang ginamit ko. Pina-print ko yung mga names ng recipients na ilalagay sa envelopes para pulido at malinis tingnan. Sticker na din sya kaya hindi na kinailangan ng tape. Sa ibang sobre I used letter stickers para colorful.

I deactivated my Facebook account in November of 2013, kaya kinailangan kong mag-send ng e-invitations sa mga kaibigan ko na hindi ko na nakakasama araw-araw at wala na akong masyadong komunikasyon. I sent this thru Instagram.

GUESTBOOK:
VR2 Computer ang nag-print ng guestbook. It was simple yet adorable. It took so long before nya (Ate Len) matapos ang guestbook kasi I was not satisfied with the first design, I sent them yung background na gusto ko, so pinalitan nya, gusto ko kasi talaga yung the best sa paningin ko. Tapos nagkasakit pala sya, kasi she was not responding sa texts, calls at emails ko.. E syempre di ko alam, wala naman syang abiso e. Ewan ko, feeling ko parang nagkainisan kami sa part na to, or baka paranoid lang ako, but when I picked up the guestbook a day before nung binyag, I felt yung coldness sa smile nya, I even told her na babalik ako ulit sa shop nya sa first birthday ni Buchokoy, but she didn't say anything, again, baka paranoid lang ako. I will get a different printing shop na lang siguro.

FLOWER CENTERPIECE:
May isang flower shop malapit sa cathedral, so nag-canvass ako dun ng flower centerpiece. The shop's name is Flower Diaries. Florist's name is Dominique. I was actually expecting for the finish product to be taller, kasi parang naliliitan ako. Pero ok naman, kasi di din naman masyadong malaki yung table. It's not excellent, but it's ok na din. I paid P100 for each centerpiece, I ordered 6 pieces. Nilagyan ko na lang ng additional na embellishments.

CUPCAKE TOPPERS:
I forgot to use these hahaha. Sa sobrang dami ng inasikaso namin that day, nawala na sa isip ko talaga. Saka hindi na din kailangan dahil naka-box naman yung cupcakes individually.

CHRISTENING CAKE AND CUPCAKES:
I saw these designs sa google (credits to the owner). I find it very simple yet cute and adorable plus the fact na sheep yung theme ng binyag. Si Mami Jas (one of Buchokoy's godparents) ang gumawa ng fondant cake with 24 sheep cupcakes. As always, my desired cake and cupcake design were wonderfully made by her.
